I was detecting for fun in my garden after tilling it up. I got a really strong signal for what turned out to be a rock about the size of a marble. It's pitted like lava rock and about the same color and has some sparkles in it. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

You found a Meteorite!  The iron content allows you to find them with a metal detector.  They are worth good money.
