Hello GSTH members and everyone else who frequents our message board. Dwayne Hatzenbeller and I are starting our winter breakfast get-togethers this coming Saturday (1/7/12) at 9:00am at the McDonald's in Little Canada (Minnesota for you out-of-staters). We'll be talking metal detecting and anything else that grabs our attention.
We started doing this a couple of years ago to help each other get through the long winter when we couldn't metal detect. It turned out to be a fun thing so we have continued.
We invite you all to join us! If you can't make it this Saturday, don't worry! There will be another one soon.
This McDonald's is located on Rice Street, just north of Highway 36. (That is west of Interstate 35E in St. Paul.)

Ha! I remember that McDonalds. I used to go to Roseville Area Middle School back in the day and lived just up the road from there on Mississippi street. A little too far away from where I live now, but I am hoping to make the next meeting.
I am reaaaally itching to start swinging again and winter isnt even half over.
To pass the time, I am working on a MD related project that I will introduce to everyone when it is ready.

You'd be pleasantly surprised as they tore down the old one and put up a brand new one about 1- 2 years ago.... complete with fireplace and big screen TV  I'll be there tomorrow for sure!

wanted to attend, as it is only spitting distance from my house, but alas I had family duties. Went to Como zoo and found a damaged stirling earring, on the ground, just going to add it to my sell pile. Perhaps a future meeting where in McD's do you meet?

Well, it's not big enough to get lost in, but we usually grab the round table in the middle, but when we have more than 4 or 5, we sit at the tables along side the divider between the serving area and the dining area.
We'll be there again next Saturday, so please feel free join us - there's always room for one more.
